Weston's Old Fashioned Christmas

This year’s Christmas in Weston promises to be better and more fun than ever before and that includes at the Village Green Gallery.
Beginning at 11:30 Mount Holly artist/sculptor, Chikako, will present “Ikebana Forms in Winter” and demonstrate this traditional Japanese flower arranging technique using winter materials. Chikako’s art, both her sculpture and painting, is exhibited regularly at The Village Green Gallery and Chaffee Art Center.

An Old Fashioned Vermont Christmas Celebration will occur in the Village of Weston on Saturday, December 6th. From eleven to four, villagers and visitors will experience all that a colonial Christmas has to offer, as well as a few modern amenities.

Weston Craft Show Draws 16,000 Visitors, Raises $27,000

Praise was heaped on the Weston Craft Show and its chairman during the recent 25th anniversary celebration. Meanwhile, proceeds from the show provided $20,000 for the preservation of the town’s historic buildings and added $7,000 to the Weston Community Association’s Endowment Fund. The association maintains the buildings.

Tony Award-winning composer Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza, Floyd Collins) has gathered a star-studded roster of friends to perform a one-night-only benefit for two Vermont non-profits – Vermonters for a Clean Environment and the Weston Playhouse Theatre Company – on Monday, September 22 at 8 p.m. at Weston’s Old Parish Church.
