Chester's Moment Of Moonlight Glory

Earlier this year it was Chirstmas in June for Chester as making the movie Moonlight and Mistletoe took over the town. This weekend, the film, starring Tom Arnold and Candice Cameron-Bure, along with dozens of local citizens, is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, November 29 at 9 p.m. on the Hallmark Channel. Among the familar spots featured in the film will be the JNB Country Shoppe as the Toy Shop in Santaville, the Fullerton Inn, Misty Valley Books, the Chester Green, and many more. Chester Faces Emergency Services Vote

Chester residents will be facing an important town vote on November 4, this one having to do with whether to approve a new Emergency Services Building to house the town fire department, police department and ambulance service. There will be an open house at the Fire Department on Sunday, November 2 from noon to 4 p.m.

It's Not All Fun And Games At CCP

This story on the Chester Community Preschool is my first for The Message and I have to admit that I couldn’t have had more fun writing and photographing it. I was welcomed by teachers and children alike from the moment I stepped through the door. I got to meet Cinderella, a real Fireman, help build a puzzle for a few minutes, and sit in very tiny chairs again. Who wouldn’t enjoy going to work.
